General Purpose
The Purchasing Program Manager will develop into a lead role in the group. The ideal candidate will have optics experience, extensive electronic procurement, and vendor management experience at a minimum.
Essential Functions
- Daily responsibilities are to support production by ensuring timely supply of components by using Oracle MRP messages
- Drive cost reduction activities
- Support NPI activities by sourcing new components, supplier evaluation/selection/ramp/management
- Become the primary communicator between Optium and key suppliers
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years procurement experience in Telecommunications or related leading-edge technology electronic manufacturing environment
- Able to demonstrate increasingly higher levels of responsibility, and demonstrate the ability to handle higher levels of Supply Chain complexity
